GEO Tactics for CAM: Leverage Reddit, Quora & Wikipedia for AI Visibility

Wikipedia is one of the most trusted sources for AI tools. Its content is structured, heavily linked, and moderated for accuracy — exactly the kind of material AI systems like to cite when building answers.

Unlike Reddit or Quora, where you can jump into conversations directly, Wikipedia requires a more careful approach. You can’t just create a page for your firm and expect it to stick. Articles must meet notability standards, be written in a neutral tone, and cite reliable third-party sources. Still, when done right, a Wikipedia presence can be a powerful signal for GEO.

Here’s why it matters for CAM businesses:

  • High authority signal. Wikipedia pages rank well in traditional SEO and are highly trusted by AI models. A mention or citation here can make its way into AI-generated answers.
  • Control of definitions. Many HOA- and CAM-related topics are defined on Wikipedia. Updating or expanding those pages with accurate, well-sourced information helps shape how both humans and AI understand the industry.
  • Indirect visibility for your firm. While your company may not qualify for its own page, contributing to broader articles — like Homeowners’ Association, Property Management, or Community Association Manager — allows you to shape the conversation and ensure CAM firms are represented fairly.

The value of Wikipedia is less about direct marketing and more about authority through contribution. If you or your firm are cited as experts in secondary sources (like news articles or industry publications), those references can sometimes be added to Wikipedia pages. Over time, this builds credibility that extends into AI results.
